Let me tell you a little story about my own journey to the Big Bo$$ Lady Table!

I’ve been a certified résumé expert and career professional for more than 6 years and I absolutely love helping talented professionistas travel their respective career paths to achieve fulfillment.

I clearly remember the first time I did my best friend’s résumé back in 2007. She absolutely loved it and was able to land a new job soon after.  Over time, I went on to help others with their résumés, but it wasn’t until I came across one client who was so overwhelmed with joy and a new found confidence in himself as a valued employee that I realized what my true calling was…

To simply help people see themselves as more.

I remember taking a part-time job at a pretty large law firm in Fort Lauderdale – just to supplement my income while building my résumé business. It was something simple, nothing too stressful.

Despite their ridiculously strict rules and dysfunctional management, I ended up doing very well in my role and they had asked me to join a newly created “special team” as a result of my high performance.

Well, after a few short months on the special team, I became the team leader and they asked me to go full time. Even though I knew it would take me away from my end goal of building a profitable résumé / career coaching business, I accepted. (Hey, it was more money in my pocket).

As the days went by, I realized more and more that I was NOT living up to my fullest potential. The job was honestly, somewhat beneath me and I had no desire to stay in this toxic environment.

I had bigger plans for myself.

I was supposed to be running things, I was supposed to be generating much more money. I was supposed to be a boss – A REAL BOSS! One who could be herself, and use her talents and passions to make a difference in the world.

In July 2014, I decided it was time to stop playing small and live up to my potential. It was time to finally stand in my power as an intellectual, talented woman, put my fears and insecurities aside and go after the career I deserved!

I left Fort Lauderdale and moved to Central Florida to pursue my business (my passion) full time.  No, I’m not saying you should quit your job and move 3 hours away to build a business.

I’m sharing that story because I know you can relate to the feeling of wanting more out of your career, yet you somehow continually settle for less and I want to inspire you to do what I did – Yep! I went after my own seat at the Big BO$$ Lady Table!

I demanded more of myself – more prestige, more significance, more money!
